I’m not sure if anyone else can tell but I’m about petered out at this stage of the game. I expected this to happen, actually expected it sooner. My creative flow is almost all but spent I got one more preview in me and I will have to shift back to some standard poetry before this is all said and done.
Day 26: The Beast Of The Forest
Yet, another legend lives in the forest, a dangerous four legged beast
Ferocity, anger, a monster that stalks prey across the wooded lands
It prowls the forest, hunting down all who would dare to intrude
Few that have ever lain eyes on the beast, have ever lived to tell the tale
Some describe it as a wolf, grey in fur dawning long dreads upon its head, and glowing green eyes
Some have seen it as a large lumbering grizzly bear, long sharp claws and fangs, and a roar that can shake any mans spirit also bearing green eyes
Others, have seen it as a red fox, cunning and sly, a long fluffy tail and the same glowing green eyes displayed
And sometimes, witnessed as a black panther, prowling in the shadows, in search of hunters, who only witness the glowing green eyes, before they perish
None know where it came from, or why it has been seen in so many different forms
However, one thing they all do know
Is the haunting, terrifying glow of those emerald green eyes
The players are all mostly set, the characters in place. The setting is ready and a story must now be told. I do hope to have this all ready to go by the beginning or end of fall. Tomorrow will bring a new day and a new poem, till then readers.
